The Heavy Industrial Leader is responsible for acquiring and the profitable delivery of our heavy industrial projects; including developing leads, client contact, winning work, managing operations, and ensuring profitability of work performed. Also responsible for developing short-term and long-term strategic plans for the business unit.

  • Advanced knowledge of Industrial construction project business, including estimating and construction management
  • Oversees all projects and ensures they are executed and completed in accordance with goals
  • Makes decisions and recommendations which greatly impact projects
  • Manages the day-to-day operations and P&L for the Industrial business units and provides strategic direction to successfully achieve the group’s success and overall strategic goals
  • Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of the business unit. This includes being proficient in estimating, scheduling, quality control, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, proposal preparation, and leading the Industrial team
  • Builds and implements effective marketing initiatives, in conjunction with the senior leadership, to drive positive revenue growth
  • Build a bench of strong managers and superintendents that strengthen the Business Units success
  • Develop and nurture effective and lasting customer/client relationships
  • Oversee the buyout process and selection of subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with the Project Managers and Superintendent to ensure safety, quality control and schedule
  • Conduct progress meetings with Owners and the design/construction team
  • Ability to accurately assess profit/loss responsibility and current financial status for the business unit. Deliver top and bottom line results
  • Adhere to OSHA and Company safety requirements, hold team accountable to maintain high safety standards, and promote the safety and security of employees 
  • Strategic thinker, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Inspiring, collaborative, mentors and develops others, builds relationships inside and outside the Company

  • Bring successful relationships with past customers, trade associations and business influencers
  • Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • 10 years’ experience in overseeing multiple projects
  • Advanced knowledge of the construction industry with an understanding of industry trends and innovations
  • Business development experience and success in acquiring new customers and maintaining/growing existing customer relationships 
    Location: Office is located at 500 South Ewing, Suite G, St. Louis, MO.
