JOB OVERVIEW:
AV Engineer is responsible for the execution of physical installations of hardware and commission of the AV system. The ability to travel 80% of the time in the CONUS, Alaska, and Hawaii is required for this position. 5-10 years of experience with installation procedures including but not limited to system integration, pulling cable, terminating cable, hanging display monitors, etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, such as sitting, squatting, standing, walking and driving
  • May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels 
  • Must wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats and high visibility vest when working on-site
  • Heavy lifting and working over head
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyzing and interpreting system drawings
  • Installing AV components including DSPs, system processors, video switches, network switches, rack management, pulling cable, and terminations
  • Building and registering VTC CODEC endpoints
  • Commissioning of AV systems
  • Working with remote system programmer to load and diagnose interfaces
  • Configurating of digital signal processors (DSP) including Biamp, QSC, and Crestron
  • Troubleshooting specific video and network related issues
  • Delivering knowledge transfer to customers for final sign off of installation
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
  • Avixa / InfoComm CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D
  • Crestron DMC-E-4K, DMC-D-4K
  • AMX-ACE
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience preferred
  • 5 + years’ experience in collaboration or Audio Visual Integration
